After 12 years in Berlin, where we had built our nest with all the safety and comfort a family could need, we wanted something else. A different lifestyle, culture and environment where we could be at one with nature while exploring our own. We uprooted our family of four and headed towards Vahngärad, Sweden, to start again. It was an experiment and adventure and an attempt to grow new roots in a place we had no previous connection to. We were naivly enthustiastic and had no idea of the painful learnings we would acquire in the next 1 year and 9 months.
